Event Details

The first ever Petaluma Kids Gran Fondo will be taking place on May 11th.  36 local schools and kids from all over will challenge themselves on any of 3 different routes from which they choose.  They can also choose to ride a bike, walk, run or roll around the 3 courses which include a 1 mile, 4 mile and 7 mile route.  Parents and dogs are also welcomed to accompany their kids.  All dogs must remain on leash(City ordinance).  All bike entrants are required to wear a helmet.

To enter The Bici Sport Petaluma Kids Gran Fondo, young participants will gather as many pledges as they can. Please bring your pledge forms and money raised to the Day of event registration starting at 8am to the left of the Lucchessi Center.  If you do not raise pledge money then a donation of any amount is asked at registration.

  • Day of event registration opens at 8am.
  • Routes begin at 9am.

Once a participant has turned in his/her pledge sheet and money, a parent or legal guardian will fill out a liability waiver before assigning a participation bib number.  The money raised will be donated to the Petaluma schools, as well as to pre-selected children in the area who are living with a disability or life-threatening illness.   Bicycles will be given away to the kids who raise the most money!

Does your kid live outside of Petaluma?  No worries! Everyone is welcome.  To enter, have your child gather as many pledges as he can, bring the pledge form with money raised to the event, and you will get a bib number in exchange.

If for some reason you cannot make it to the event, please mail all checks made out to Steven Cozza Race for Kids, PO.Box 2752 Petaluma Ca. 94952 or deliver pledge forms with money to Attn: Steven Cozza Frank Howard Allen – 905 E. Washington St, Ste. 109 – Petaluma, CA 94952

There are three ways to get involved:

Pledge & Participate.  Encourage your child to gather as many pledges as he/she can. Let your child know that they are raising money for other kids in need.  Also let them know that the more money they raise from family, neighbors and friends, the more of a chance they will have to win a bicycle  Download the Kids Pledge form.
